Device Verdict is an independent publication about consumer electronics. We cover audio, smart home devices, photo and video gear, computing and wearables — and we cover them the same way every time: by reading the full specification sheet, weighing published measurements, and saying plainly when a product is the wrong choice.
Why spec sheets
Most tech content is written from launch events and press kits. Both are marketing. The specification sheet is the one document a manufacturer publishes under its own name that can be checked later — against lab measurements, against teardowns, against the returns pile. So we start there. When a vendor's claim conflicts with published measurements, we tell you which one we trust and why.
What we don't do
- We don't publish coupon roundups, deal blasts or promo countdowns.
- We don't reprint press releases as reviews.
- We don't show reader counts, "trending" counters or any other numbers we can't verify ourselves.
- We don't rate products we can't source claims for. If a star rating can't be traced to an actual rating pool, we don't print one.
How the site is funded
Device Verdict is reader-supported. When we recommend a product, some links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them — at no additional cost to you. The mechanics are described in our Affiliate Disclosure, and our Editorial Standards explain how commerce is kept separate from verdicts.
