Device Verdict is reader-supported. When you buy through certain links on this site, we may earn an affiliate commission from the retailer or brand — at no additional cost to you. This page explains exactly how that works.
Where affiliate links appear
Affiliate links appear only in the recommendations section of articles that name specific products. Whenever a page contains affiliate links, a disclosure line is printed directly above those recommendations, on the same screen — you should never have to scroll to a footer or hunt for it.
What happens when you click
Affiliate links on this site route through our own outbound page first. That page shows you where you're headed, repeats this disclosure, and includes a short countdown before you continue — you can cancel it, or click through immediately. This gives you a visible moment to see that you're leaving our site and that the link may be commercial.
How commissions affect (and don't affect) verdicts
- Commission never decides picks. Products are selected by the process in How We Test before any link is added.
- Commission rates are not shown. We don't display or discuss rates, and a higher rate from one retailer doesn't change which product we recommend or where it sits.
- Non-affiliate recommendations are common. Many products we recommend have no affiliate program at all; those get the same research and the same space.
- Prices are never set by us. Prices shown, if any, were the listed price at publication and may have changed. The retailer's own page is always the final price.
What we don't earn from
We don't sell sponsored posts, we don't take placement fees, and we don't participate in paid review programs. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before any such arrangement goes live.
